Line reporting & functional linkage Reports directly as assistant to the Shipping Technical Director Background and experience required * Proven marine technical skills, * Disciplined, organized and motivated, * Ability to work in a team Experience Significant experience in design/maintenance and technical monitoring acquired as a member of a ship's crew, or working for an oil services company, a shipyard or marine repair yard. Prior education Generalist engineer with marine training (C1NM/DESMM) or generalist engineer with technical training (ENSTA, ECN, Arts & Métiers, Ecole Navale) or the international equivalent. Languages Good English and French. Computer skills Proficient in office automation tools

Applicant will be in charge of technical and contractual monitoring of vessels, the management of which is outsourced to a Shipmanager. He/she will also be in charge of cooperating with the supervision of vessels under construction and of commissioning preparations. His/Her main duties will be: * Checking on the operational effectiveness of vessels under management while complying with the safety, operational and technical standards of the Company and of customers. * Taking charge of outsourced crew management contracts. * Supervising the preparation, coordination and proper execution of technical shutdowns. * Representing the company during periods of technical shutdowns and working with the Shipmanager to monitor cases of failures. * Supervising the proper operation of maintenance and purchase monitoring applications. * Controlling audits of maintenance and safety plans. * Monitoring classification and safety certificates and navigation titles. * Controlling annual expenditure budgets. Numerous trips of varying duration to monitor operating vessels and those under construction in Asian shipyards
